What Is Playlist?

Playlist was created to serve as a comprehensive entertainment section for readers and advertisers in The Mirror circulation area. The goal is to reach a critical demographic that is not always met with traditional weekly newspapers.

How Is It Distributed?

Playlist is included in The Mirror’s three separate editions, as follows:

• Maumee • Anthony Wayne • Holland/Springfield  

The Mirror Newspapers reach nearly 20,000 homes and businesses by U.S. Mail and are available on local newsstands. Playlist also is available as a stand-alone piece in 500 locations such as restaurants, music stores, coffee shops, etc.

When Is Playlist Printed?

Frequency: Published the last Thursday of every month –  except June and July.

Deadline: 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to publication.

Territory: Toledo, Maumee, Perrysburg, Waterville, Whitehouse, Monclova, Swanton, Grand Rapids and the Village of Holland & Springfield Township.

Advertising

Playlist accepts ads and ad artwork as a .PDF, .JPG, .EPS and .TIF as well as files made in Quark and Freehand.

Ads and other artwork can be sent via e-mail to art@themirrornewspaper.com or dropped off on a CD or floppy disk.

Playlist also offers free advertising design. Playlist’s in-house graphic designers and layout coordinators will design an ad tailored specifically to your businesses needs.

What Is The Format?

Playlist is produced as a tabloid newspaper with a 6-column by 16-inch image size. The paper can accommodate 85 to 110 line artwork.

Message from the Editor

Playlist is a community-oriented entertainment paper. At Playlist, we understand the importance of small business and community support for such businesses. We would like to invite all members of the community to support Playlist and to help shape the kind of entertainment paper that would best serve Northwest Ohio.

Toledo and the surrounding areas are full of interesting and unique things to do and see. Some of these things are nationally known such as The Toledo Museum of Art and The Toledo Zoo. Some, however, are little more than well-kept secrets.

We invite you to share your secrets with us; be it the best place to find the juiciest hamburger, the hottest night spot or the most romantic location in all of Northwest Ohio. Whatever it is, we want to know about it.
We will happily accept all story submissions and story ideas no matter how big or small. From the staff of Playlist, we look forward to informing and entertaining you.
