Euchre Tournament Benefits Dog Rescue
Golden Retriever Rescue Resource will host a euchre tournament on Saturday, January 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rossford Union Hall. The entry fee is $10.00 per person. Participants may bring a beverage and an appetizer or dessert to share.

Pet Class Planned For Children
The Toledo Area Humane Society will present “How to Love a Shelter” for children ages 7-10 on Saturday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children will learn about pet responsibility, learn how to make dog treats, play games, participate in a scavenger hunt and take a behind-the-scenes tour. Discounted Cat Spaying Services Offered
Humane Ohio is planning “Beat the Heat,” a promotion offering spaying of female cats during the month of February for the discounted rate of $20.00. The rate is available to all residents of Lucas and Wood counties. Proof of residency is required. The organization’s goal is to spay female cats before the spring kitten season begins.

Humane Society Seeks Food Donations
The Toledo Area Humane Society is seeking donations of canned cat food and small, soft dog treats. Donations of any brand of food or treats may be dropped off at the shelter, located at 1920 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee. Hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Dog Obedience And Manners Classes Set
The Toledo Area Humane Society offers ongoing Good Manners and Basic Obedience classes for dogs on most Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Led by certified trainer John Brown, the classes are limited to 12 dogs. Humane Society Offers Pet Nail Clippings
The Toledo Area Humane Society, located at 1920 Indian Wood Circle in Maumee, offers nail clippings for cats and dogs every Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. No appointment is necessary and a $10.00 donation will be requested.
