Humane Society Plans Children’s Pet Class
The Toledo Area Humane Society will present “How to Love a Shelter” for children ages 7-10 on Saturday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children will learn about pet responsibility, learn how to make dog treats, play games, participate in a scavenger hunt and take a behind-the-scenes tour. Owens Offers Junior Lego Engineering Class
Owens Community College will offer Junior Lego Engineering for children ages 5-7 Wednesdays, February 8 though February 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The classes will take place at Owens Workforce and Community Services at the Arrowhead Park Learning Center on Indian Wood Circle in Maumee.
Attendees will learn to design and build models through the use of fixed and movable pulleys, gears, levers, wheels, axles, forces and belt drives.
